Styling Question

I created a class "clicked" and began styling it by clicking on the "clicked" class under Styles. However, that style also changed the "default" even though I didn't have it highlighted. Is this a bug or am I doing it wrong? I've attached a 12 sec video where the hover works but when the default is highlighted, the button colors do not match the colors selected (they are opposite). Any help would be much appreciated, thank you!

Your class .clicked is active, as you can see on the left side in the element. Under Attributes, where you add your class, you need to specify the condition (formula) under which the class should be added to the element.

Thank you for your help, Kamil! That worked. The part I didn't get (in case anyone tries searching or this helps the AI chat bot) is I thought I could style a class regardless of the condition since Hover appears to work this way (click on Hover, style it the way you want, and it doesn't affect the Default, and just works on the Hover). However, as you describe, I needed to set condition for the style to not affect the default styling. Thank you again!

You are correct in that you can style classes independently from default
It might have been a bug that it showed as if it was selected but really you were applying styles to default
Or just a miss click or didn't realize you weren't on the class itself

The condition is simply to specify whether or not the class is applied

Unless I am misunderstanding that your styles were set to default instead of them being set to the class

What you described is how I thought it worked. Hmm maybe it was a bug then. The AI chat tool thought it was a bug

You can easily move the styles over by cutting/pasting them in the CSS box
From default to the class
But yeah, classes behave the same in toddle other than that they are not globally set as in other web development

Hi Lucas and Kamil, sorry to bug y'all but I had trouble with this again today, and would love to know if it's a bug or if I'm just doing it incorrectly. In this video it appears the new style is overriding the Default style. In the beginning of the video, I have the styles the way I want - but then when I match the style to the class "selected", it changes the Default which I don't understand. If you could take a look, i'd greatly appreciate it

This will always be truthy, because it has a value. That is why the class is applied to all items. It should be index equals SelectedMonth
