Best way to move objects on the screen?

I have a habit of trying to drag elements on the screen but so far I've only been able to manipulate positioning with the X and Y's under placement. Is this the best way? It feels really slow when I have to move several elements on the screen.

Using absolute positioning will make it very hard for you to be able to create a responsive app and is generally definitely not recommended as the way to build web apps

    Use flexbox or grid instead

I saw people talking about flexbox but I couldn't really tell how to manipulate it beyond just giving it a direction to anchor from.
  • Are there any go-to videos about flexbox or grid on manipulating the elements?
  • This is often referred to as a good guide
  • There are also many youtube videos on the subject. Flexbox and Grid are standard CSS which will help you in web dev in general, not just toddle
  • Highly recommend getting a hang of them if you are diving in web development

gotcha thank you! I took a html/css class, but it was over a year ago and only really understood absolute positioning so this will be very helpful.
  • Is it okay if I come back with more questions at a later time?

I am looking to make a personalized design library that will link to different tools, books or research.

So far I have put them into 4 different categories so I'm thinking of making it like a menu with dropdowns for each section.
