In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to build a Surfboard Shop in toddle that loads Surfboards from Fastgen and includes a Waitlist form that sends leads to a Fastgen database.

Steps in Fastgen

Step 1

Go to fastgen.com and click “Get started free”.

Step 2

Go to “Templates” at the bottom of the left sidebar.

Step 4

Deploy the route by clicking the “Deploy”-button and confirming to deploy in the window that pops up.

Click on the URL at the top of the page to copy it to your clipboard, we will need this URL in toddle soon.

Remove the Slack action from the flow by clicking on the three dots in it’s upper right corner and clicking “Delete”.

That’s it for Fastgen, let’s switch to toddle now.

Steps in toddle

Step 1

First sign in to toddle and go to “Projects”. Then click the

Give your project a name (and an emoji) and click “Create project”.

Step 4

Click the API called “Surfboards” in the right sidebar.

Step 5

Replace the URL with the URL from the Fastgen route “Get Surfboards (Toddle)”. Click “Done”.

Step 6

Repeat the above step for the API called “Waitlist” in the right sidebar.
Replace the URL with the URL from the Fastgen route “Waitlist Lead Generation”. Click “Done”.

All done🎉

You should now be able to see the data from your Fastgen database. Try and go to Fastgen and replace some of the details (set a new price for example). You should be able to see the changes in toddle right away. You can also try submitting data into the Waitlist form in your published toddle project and you can see it appear in your Fastgen database “leads”.
